Hi, my name is ……
Ok, I’m not going to tell you my real name. I’ll hide behind anonymity, so I can be honest about my experiences, struggles and successes. Maybe I’ll come up with a cool PUA alter ego someday, but for now, you can call me Kevin.
But who am I really? (and I mean that in the least metaphysical way possible)
I’m just a normal guy who isn’t happy with his dating life. I’ve had a few girlfriends, been married and divorced, and now I’m looking for something more than the standard dinner date courtship rituals. Partly because dinner dates can be expensive and seldom go anywhere, but mostly because I’m not looking for a committed relationship, and I’d still like to have sex on a regular basis.
I don’t really consider myself to be a pickup artist or part of the “community” per se, but I have decided to look there for an answer, because I have to believe that skill with women is something that can be learned.
My journey so far has consisted of a few information products that didn’t help at all. One was an e-book on natural game that could basically be summed up by the phrase “be dominant.” That might be good advice except that it’s completely useless – my mental dialogue went something like this “Ok…now that I’m dominant, how do I actually start a conversation with a woman I don’t know?”
The second was a home study course from a well known dating company who claims over 90% of their students “close” during their bootcamps/workshops. To be fair, this might have actually helped someone who was already going out and approaching women. To someone who was just sitting at home (aka “me”) not so much.
Then I ran across The Forbidden Truth by BradP, and realized how serious my situation really was. That’s when I made a commitment – One system, One year.
This site is a form of public accountability to keep me on track. Some problems can only be solved by taking action. Like John Candy said in the movie Canadian Bacon “There’s a time to think and a time to act, and this, gentlemen, is no time to think.”
